PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Mr. Mason began his legal career as a clerk to U.S. District Court Judge Richard B. Kellam from 1984-1985. Since, Mr. Mason has engaged in private practice focusing on civil litigation. He has tried over 200 workers’ compensation defense and civil trials.

Mr. Mason has over 25 published opinions in various case reporters and is a frequent speaker at business and professional associations on workers’ compensation and other issues.

He is a member of the Newport News, Virginia, American, and Federal Bar Associations, as well as the Virginia State Bar. He is past president of the Newport News Bar Association.
